Credentialing, JACHO, Compliance OH MY!!!

Why do you need so many things to start your assignment?

Healthcare recruiting firms must adhere to all JACHO standards. JACHO requires that each traveling therapist has the following:

Medical Documents:
• Hepatitis B
• TB
• Physical Form
• MMR

Personnel and Documentation:
• Application
• References
• Comprehensive Core Test
• Handbook Acknowledgement
• Executed Employment Agreement
• Confidentiality Agreement
• Proper ID
• Drug and Background
• 1-9 and E-verify
• Annual Performance Review
• Current State License
• License Verification
• Education Verification
• OIG
• EPLS
• NSOPR
• Skills Checklist
• CPR (AHA certification preferred)
• 10-panel Drug Screen
• Background Check

At first, it can be overwhelming to have so many requirements. Some healthcare recruiting firms are able to skip a few of these because they are not held to the highest standards of JACHO. However, here at Cirrus Allied, we are a JACHO certified firm so there is no skipping any document for us. The good news is, we only require providing these documents to us once a year. The benefit of having these documents is that the healthcare clients prefer to work with JACHO certified healthcare firms. So, we are able to work with some of the most premier destinations in the US.

I hope this helps you to understand the purpose of JACHO and credentialing. Happy Travels!
