If you are a new grad who is looking to jump right into travel contracts, there are lots of opportunities right now for you to get your feet wet. Typically, hospitals and clinics will not consider new grad travelers because they don’t want to train someone who is going to be gone in 13 weeks. Skilled nursing settings are different. Clinical experience while still in school is usually enough to prepare a new therapist for a skilled setting. If the need is desparate enough, many will take a new grad in a heartbeat. The majority of contract assignments are in skilled settings and are high paying. For more information on how to jump start your travel career, call me at 678-993-2283.
